Keanu Reeves Expresses Interest In “‘Yellowstone” Role: “I’d Love To Do A Western”

During an interview promoting the release of John Wick: Chapter 4, Keanu Reeves was asked if he would be interested in taking on an unexpected character in the popular western drama, Yellowstone.
“I’d love to do a western so yeah, yeah sure,” he replied to ET Canada.
The popular western drama, Yellowstone, is set to resume for the second half of season five during the upcoming summer.
Recently, there have been rumors that the show might be coming to an end after this season, due to the drama surrounding the lead character of John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner. This speculation has been generating a lot of attention in the news.
There have been recent reports claiming that the actor was unwilling to commit to filming for both season five and season six. However, these rumors were quickly dismissed by Costner’s attorney.
“The idea that Kevin was only willing to work one week on the second half of season 5 of ‘Yellowstone’ is an absolute lie,” Costner’s attorney Marty Singer said in a statement to Fox News. “It’s ridiculous — and anyone suggesting it shouldn’t be believed for one second. As everyone who knows anything about Kevin is well aware, he is incredibly passionate about the show and has always gone way above and beyond to ensure its success.”
Fox News said according to sources who spoke with Deadline, Costner was expected to depart from “Yellowstone” after the fifth season. The rumors, however, were shot down by Paramount Network.
“We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of ‘Yellowstone,’ and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come,” a spokesperson for the network told Fox News.
Due to the massive success of Yellowstone, which starred Costner, Paramount+ streaming service commissioned a new series titled 1923, exploring the origins of the Dutton family.
