on Dec 16, 2024
The Yellowstone Finale Aired On Sunday, December 15th
After five seasons of playing Beth Dutton, actress Kelly Reilly is saying “farewell” to Yellowstone, at least for now.
The highly anticipated Yellowstone finale aired on Sunday night (December 15th). While Paramount originally announced the show would end with Season 5, there has been some talk about a sixth season.
However, it seems that the sixth season may shift into a spin-off. Recent reports confirmed with unnamed sources that Reilly and her co-star Cole Hauser will participate in a new show following their characters Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler.

Considering how much fans love Beth and Rip as a couple, a spin-off centered on them seems like a slam dunk. Hauser and Reilly have both expressed interest in continuing to play the characters if an opportunity arises.
Kelly Reilly Says “Farewell” To Yellowstone In Emotional Post On Social Media
Regardless, the actors have made it seem that Yellowstone itself has ended. Ahead of the season finale, several cast members took to social media to say “goodbye” to the show and their characters.
Reilly shared an especially emotional “farewell” to Yellowstone alongside the trailer for the show’s finale. “Whatever the future holds this is the ending of the show we have been making for the past 7 years,” she said.
The actress continued:
“Words cannot convey how I feel about the people I got to work and create with over the seasons. I have made true life long friends. The support from the crew and the trust and dedication of the cast . The words I got to say and the woman I got to inhabit. It changed me . It lit me up. It challenged me in every way possible and I will forever be grateful for it.“
Several of Reilly’s co-stars commented on her post and left loving messages.
Jennifer Landon, who played Teeter, wrote, “I feel so lucky to have worked with you, you legend.”
Hassie Harrison, who played Laramie, said, “What you did as Beth Dutton is one for the history books. I’m not ready for it to be over!”
Finn Little, who played Carter, commented, “Thank you Momma. @mzkellyreilly. It was a pleasure. x”
Ian Bohen, who played Ryan, said, “You have immortalized Beth Dutton in our culture forever and I am so proud to have been there with you.”
