on Jul 13, 2024
The country music community is like one big happy family. And the friendship between Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert is just one example of that!
These two country gals have been friends for a while. Miranda is someone that Lainey has said has helped her through some tough times, and now, their bond is about to shine musically, too.
Fans are in for a treat with their new duet, “Good Horses,” featured on Lainey’s upcoming album, Whirlwind. Last year, Lainey surprised her Las Vegas concert audience by bringing Miranda on stage to debut their unreleased duet.

Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the official release of “Good Horses.” But good news: the wait is almost over!
On June 25, Lainey revealed the full Whirlwind tracklist on social media, confirming the duet as the third track. Her new album drops on August 23. Don’t forget to pre-save it!
With Lainey Wilson’s rise to fame, her parents are getting a taste of the celebrity life. Naturally, being fans themselves, they’re eager to meet some of their favorite stars.
In a recent interview on Taste of Country Nights, Lainey shared a hilarious story about the first time her parents met the powerhouse Miranda Lambert.
During the interview, Lainey was asked if her parents have had any memorable encounters with celebrities since she has become a household name. She had a humorous story ready to go.
Wilson shared, “My dad loves to take pictures to show off to his friends back home. I have to remind him, ‘Dad, that’s my friend now. We need to play it cool or we might get kicked out!'”
But the real standout incident was when her parents met Miranda. After the CMAs this year, Miranda hosted a party at her bar, Casa Rosa, in downtown Nashville, and Lainey’s parents were invited.
Recalling the event, Lainey said, “My dad walked straight up to Miranda, hugged her, and asked, ‘Can we get a picture?'”
Her response to her dad was a mix of amusement and what we can guess was a bit of embarrassment:
“Can you be cool?”
One thing we know for sure — Lainey Wilson knows all about what it means to be cool! Take a listen below to the first single Lainey released from Whirlwind, “Country’s Cool Again.”
