On The Loose!
A Colorado Springs resident got an odd surprise when they were on their way to work in early August. A longhorn not only escaped a cattle drive, but it also entered an office building. Two cowboys stepped in to get the confused animal back into the cattle drive.
Caught On Camera
Amber Keller works in the same building that the longhorn entered, and she immediately took out her phone and began recording the incident.
“At one point I heard some yelling and I saw people kinda scrambling around and so I picked up my phone and started recording and what you see is that one of the longhorns just got loose from the group.” Keller told KKTV, and went on to say that she grew up in Colorado Springs and is used to cattle drives, but it’s not commonplace for one of the animals to break loose from the group.

Bob Book acted as the heeler to get the longhorn back in line. “I had a good horse, I knew I had a good cowboy with me and we just figured it out,” he said in reference to the incident.
