Lainey Wilson & Miranda Lambert Released Their New Duet, “Good Horses,” On Friday, August 2
Lainey Wilson has always looked up to Miranda Lambert, so getting to record a duet with her was a dream come true.
Wilson previously shared how Lambert was one of her earliest and most enthusiastic supporters. Because of this, Wilson has often turned to Lambert for advice during tough times.
“Sometimes it can be lonely because at times you feel like, man, I don’t even know who I could talk to right now that would understand,” Wilson said. “Miranda is one of those people for me. She’s helped me through a lot. It’s the life on the road part that’s hard. It’s the early mornings, it’s the late nights. Anybody who has lack of sleep, you’re going to start feeling a little bit off.”

Now, the two longtime pals have further cemented their friendship by releasing a duet together. The song “Good Horses” debuted on Friday, August 2.
The release was long-awaited since the duo first teased the song during a live performance near the end of 2023. They reunited this summer to deliver a surprise performance of the duet and Lambert’s own “Kerosene” during one of Wilson’s shows in Nashville.
“Good Horses” will be featured on Wilson’s upcoming album, Whirlwind, which will be released on August 23.
Lainey & Miranda Share Acoustic Performance Of “Good Horses”
The day before “Good Horses” dropped, Wilson and Lambert united for an acoustic performance. The video shows the two artists seated on stools in what appears to be a barn with large wooden beams in the background. They each had an acoustic guitar and strummed along as they beautifully harmonized with one another while singing.
The duo shared the video of their mesmerizing duet on Instagram, and it received a lot of praise from their friends and fans.
“Ooooohhhhh this is beautiful,” commented Elle King.
Rodney Atkins left two clapping hand emojis in the comments to show his support.
Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman wrote, “Love. Love. Love.”
