Morgan Wallen Sentenced To Seven Days At A DUI Education Center And Two Years Probation

Morgan Wallen‘s attorney issued a statement following the singer’s plea hearing and sentencing on Thursday (December 12th).

Wallen was arrested in Nashville in April after allegedly throwing a chair off of Eric Church‘s Chief’s bar. The chair landed a few feet away from two Metro Nashville police officers standing on the ground below.

The “I Had Some Help” singer’s original charges included three felony counts of reckless endangerment and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Wallen’s case would move on to a grand jury. However, his attorney later revealed that Wallen would enter a plea in court.

Wallen pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment during a plea hearing on December 12th. These counts were reduced from their original felony status.

Judge Cynthia Chappell sentenced Wallen to serve seven days in a DUI education center and two years of probation.

Footage from the hearing shows Wallen appearing attentive as he answered Judge Chappell’s questions. During the roughly ten-minute hearing, he said little other than “no, ma’am” and “yes, ma’am.”

Worrick Robinson IV, Wallen’s attorney, issued a statement after the singer’s plea hearing and sentencing on December 12th.

Robinson added:

“Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved. Mr. Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation.”

Robinson noted that if Wallen completes his probation, then “the charges will be eligible for dismissal and expungement.
