The audience cheered as each musical guest joined Travis on stage, with particular excitement for George Jones, who was a surprise guest that evening.

The song “Heroes & Friends” was co-written by Randy Travis and Don Schlitz and released as the second and final single from Travis’ album of duets, Heroes & Friends. Interestingly, it was his only song on the album that was not a duet.
