Sugarland Announces U.S. Tour With Little Big Town
on Apr 08, 2024
Sugarland has announced their 2024 Take Me Home Tour, teaming up with Little Big Town for a long-awaited return to country music.
The news broke just before their performance at the CMT Music Awards on Sunday (April 7), causing a buzz among fans as the two giants of country music prepare to hit the road together for the first time in over a decade.
Their joint appearance at the 2024 CMT Awards was a standout moment of the evening, captivating audiences with a rendition of Phil Collins’ “Take Me Home.” This marked an incredible full-circle moment for fans, as fifteen years earlier, the two groups, alongside Jake Owen, had graced the CMT Awards stage, delivering a memorable performance of “Life in a Northern Town.” That same year, Owen and Little Big Town joined Sugarland on their headline tour.
The announcement of their partnership for the award show performance came just a week before the event, heightening the anticipation for their on-stage reunion. Notably, Sugarland’s last appearance at the CMT Awards was in 2011, and since their last musical release in 2018, fans have eagerly awaited new music and performances from the duo.
The night also marked a significant milestone for Little Big Town, as they celebrated 25 years as a band. Additionally, it was their 13th appearance at the CMT Music Awards, highlighting their longstanding presence and impact in the industry.
“25 years of music and we can’t wait to celebrate it with you…” Little Big Town wrote in their tour announcement shared on Instagram.
The Take Me Home Tour with Little Big Town will begin on October 24 in Greenville, South Carolina. Over the course of the tour, they’ll travel across the United States, making a total of 18 stops before concluding with a hometown show in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 13. Direct support throughout the tour will be provided by The Castellows.
