Video: Elk Violently Attacks Woman While Group Of Men Run Away
on Sep 22, 2021
Encounters with wildlife happen quite frequently in places such as Estes Park in Colorado. In a video taken back in 2019, one particular encounter with a bull elk was recorded by a witness. In the video, the elk violently attacks a woman while several bystanders run away leaving her trapped on the ground.
The bull charged, knocking a woman to the ground. It then proceeded to ram her with its antlers. The woman can be seen on the ground using her feet to fend off a bull elk that had charged at her with its antlers. While this is going on, men can be seen running away in fear. Just behind the poor woman, another man continues to take photos of the elk a couple of feet away and does nothing to help.
According to CBS4 Denver, Brian Berg, the Estes Park’s park supervisor, used his truck to separate the bull elk from the woman. Berg said he was heading to a meeting when he first noticed the bull charging the woman. Berg quickly approached the bull, in his truck, separating the elk from the woman. As the woman ran to safety Berg continued to distract the elk with his truck.
The woman, who was not seriously injured, was treated by medics, and another person was treated for injuries he sustained while fleeing the charging elk.
