Video: Mama Bear Watches As Cub Attacks Inflatable Reindeer

One little bear cub was recorded on video trying to take on the biggest deer it had ever seen – the only problem was, it was a fake, inflatable, Christmas reindeer decoration.
The incident took place in a Los Angeles suburb and was filmed by San Gabriel Valley, California resident Donna Hargett who said she heard the bear cub before she saw it.
When she looked up and spotted where the noise was coming from, Donna said she pulled out her phone and started filming it. Its mother was standing near and watching from a short distance as the cub began to attack it.
The massive inflatable just sat there sitting still and taking all the damage. The cub jumped up practicing its bite on the reindeer’s tail and then its neck, dragging it to the ground.
The mother bear was on the sidelines as if she was cheering the cub on, or giving it directions on what to do in this one-sided battle.
Donna said that bear sightings are common in her Monrovia neighborhood and the community loves it.
After the bear had its fill of playing around with the inflatable, it wandered back off into the forest with its mother. You can watch the footage below.
