An Unexpected Friendship

Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg share a unique friendship that revolves around their shared love for music, marijuana, and a laid-back approach to life. Both iconic figures in their respective genres, country legend Willie Nelson and rap icon Snoop Dogg found common ground in their passion for cannabis. The two have often been seen enjoying the herb together, breaking down stereotypes, and fostering a sense of camaraderie in the process.

“He’s a good friend…We just kind of liked each other right away,” Willie told Yahoo Entertainment. “I was headed to Amsterdam and Snoop and I had been talking, doing some recording and everything, so I called him and said, ‘Come on over!’ We hung out a while over there and went to all the best [cannabis] spots over there.”

Collaborations Together

Willie and Snoop have collaborated on various projects, including music and joint appearances at events promoting cannabis culture. Their relationship exemplifies a cross-generational and cross-genre connection, showcasing the power of shared interests to foster genuine friendships in the world of entertainment.

Willie most recently teamed up with Snoop in BIC’s “The Most Borrowed Lighter” campaign, showcasing a stroke of 420 marketing genius that aligns seamlessly with their well-established brand images. In this innovative initiative, the “On the Road Again” singer strategically places Snoop’s EZ Reach Lighter in select “herb-friendly” U.S. tour cities with playful names such as Blunt, Pottsville, Stoneville, and Weed.
