Zach Bryan is only the third solo country artist to have a song reach one billion streams on Spotify.

Zach Bryan’s “Something In The Orange” has exceeded an impressive one billion streams on Spotify, a feat achieved by only a few country artists.

Notably, Chris Stapleton became the second solo country singer to reach this mark with his rendition of “Tennessee Whiskey.” Before him, Morgan Wallen was the first solo country artist to achieve over one billion streams with his hit “Last Night.”

Other country tracks that have reached this milestone include Dan + Shay’s collaboration with Justin Bieber, “10,000 Hours,” and Florida Georgia Line’s “Meant to Be” with Bebe Rexha.

Zach Bryan Thanks Fans For Their Support

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Zach Bryan shared the exciting news. He said that “never in a million years” could he have ever dreamed of achieving such a huge milestone.

“Thank you guys so much for a billion on ‘Something In The Orange…’ I love you guys so much and can’t explain how much it means,” Bryan wrote.

He shared another post, writing:

“Pray I get to record music forever for you guys.”

About “Something In The Orange”

Zach Bryan released “Something In The Orange” on his 2022 studio album, American Heartbreak. He actually released two versions of the track: the original single version and an alternate version featuring just his vocals and piano. “Something In The Orange” was Bryan’s first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, debuting on the chart on May 7, 2022. It eventually reached a peak position of number ten.

While the song explores themes of longing and heartache, it was actually inspired by a beautiful sunset Bryan once saw.

“Everyone thinks it was over some deep, dark thing, and it was just me in a cabin in Wisconsin,” Bryan once shared. “I thought about the word ‘orange’ and I was watching the sunset and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s a cool story to tell in a song.'”

Additionally, the success of “Something In The Orange” propelled Bryan to the number one spot on the Billboard Top Songwriters chart in mid-2022. The song was later certified Platinum in July 2023.
