Zach Top Wins His First-Ever ACM Award

Congratulations are in order for Zach Top, because he just won his first ACM Award!

The ACM presented one of its trophies two weeks before its upcoming awards ceremony on May 8th. That trophy went to Top, who has now been crowned the ACM’s New Male Artist of the Year for 2025.

Top is in good company. Past winners in the category include Riley Green, Zach Bryan, Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban, and Tim McGraw.

The ACM revealed Top’s win on Thursday evening (April 24). They shared a photo of the “I Never Lie Singer” proudly holding his trophy, and captioned it, “JUST IN: The ACM New Male Artist of the Year for the 60th #ACMawards goes to… @zachtop!

In a follow-up post, the ACM revealed that Brooks & Dunn told Top about his win. After being surprised with his trophy, Top delivered a grateful acceptance speech.

“I couldn’t be more honored, and I can’t say a big enough thank you to my fans for loving music and loving what we do on the road, and listening to the songs every day—it means the world to me. I’ve always wanted to just play and sing for a living and I get to do that now. And it’s cool to be able to get a little trophy every now and then to let us know that we’re doing good doing it. So, thank you so much, this is beautiful.”

This is Top’s first ACM Award win. He can win one more at the upcoming ceremony, as he’s also nominated for Album of the Year for Cold Beer & Country Music.

Who’s Performing At The 2025 ACM Awards?

While it’s yet to be confirmed whether Zach Top is performing at the ACM Awards, we know the names of several artists slated to sing during the ceremony.

In March, the ACM revealed that Blake Shelton, Eric Church, and reigning Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson will perform at the event.

Then, on April 24, the ACM revealed a longer list of performers fans will see during the show. That list includes:

  • Alan Jackson
  • Brooks & Dunn
  • Chris Stapleton
  • Clint Black
  • Cody Johnson
  • Kelsea Ballerini
  • LeAnn Rimes
  • Miranda Lambert
  • Rascal Flatts
  • Wynonna Judd

The involvement of artists such as Brooks & Dunn and Alan Jackson taps into the ACM’s mission to honor country music history during this year’s ceremony. With the awards celebrating their historic 60th anniversary, it seems appropriate to recognize country music from all eras, not just the present.

As the ACM stated in a press release about the lineup:

“This Emmy-nominated, star-powered experience will feature unprecedented performances, exclusive collaborations, and unexpected moments from the biggest country music stars of the past, present, and future, all while celebrating the genre’s most iconic and emerging talent.”

Additionally, the ACM shared that more performers will be announced in the coming days. Hopefully, we’ll see Top’s name in that list!
