97-Year-Old Dick-Van-Dyke Reportedly “Suffered Minor Injuries” In Car Accident

The legendary Dick Van Dyke “suffered minor injuries” after being involved in a one-car car accident on Wednesday, March 15.

As many have heard, the Los Angeles-area has experiencing an unusual amount of rain in the past few weeks. Van Dyke was driving his 2018 Lexus LS 500 when he started sliding and lost control of his vehicle, causing him to slam into a gate. No other cars were involved.

According to TMZ, Van Dyke sustained a bloody nose and mouth and possibly “suffered a concussion.” He was treated at the scene by paramedics but declined going to the hospital.

TMZ also reports that the police that arrived on scene have filed paperwork to have the legend do a driving retest, due to his age.

News of the crash didn’t surface until Wednesday, March 22 – a full week after the accident. Van Dyke started trending on Twitter, worrying fans of his well being.

Van Dyke recently appeared on The Masked Singer, being revealed as the Gnome after singing “When You’re Smiling” by Frank Sinatra.
