Who Is Laine Hardy?
Laine Hardy first gained fame as a country artist after winning American Idol at 18 years old. Hardy, now 23, was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and raised in Livingston, Louisiana. He learned how to play the guitar at just 8 years old, and by 14, he started performing in local venues with his brother and cousins as the Band Hardy.
Hardy first auditioned for American Idol’s 16th season, reaching the Top 50. Though he didn’t plan to try again, the judges encouraged him to audition for the 17th season while accompanying a friend as a guitarist.
Laine Hardy was crowned winner of American Idol Season 17 in 2019.

Despite facing legal troubles in 2020, he parted ways with his record label and started working on new music. He recently released a brand-new country single titled “That Man,” marking his music return since his 2021 album, Here’s To Anyone.
Laine Hardy Announces New Chapter
Laine Hardy recently announced two major life events: his engagement and the upcoming arrival of his first child. On Saturday (September 7), Hardy’s fiancé, Jordan Gautreau, revealed the exciting news on social media.
“We are so excited for this chapter of our lives. Looking forward to God’s plan for us. The biggest surprise and the easiest YES! Can’t wait for our new title as parents and to plan a wedding,” Gautreau wrote.
Hardy’s fiancé ended the post with #partywiththehardys.
The couple also shared their sweet gender reveal video, announcing they are expecting a baby boy.
