Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler on Yellowstone, shared some news about the future of the show while walking the Golden Globe Awards red carpet.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hauser confirmed that there are at least two more seasons of Yellowstone coming. But, he refused to share any further details.

“I can tell you there will be a 6 and there will be a 7,” Hauser said. “That’s all I can tell you.”

Yellowstone‘s season 5 is currently on hiatus. Fans are anxiously awaiting the second half of the season that will air this summer. The mid-season finale, which aired New Year’s Day, left fans with big questions, including the fate of some of the show’s characters.

When asked about the possible elimination of some of the Dutton family, Hauser replied“I’m not the man to ask, but listen, you never know. Taylor [Sheridan] is one of those kinds of writers where you never know what’s coming. I love that about him.”

Cole Hauser’s news of at least two more seasons of Yellowstone came on the same night that his co-star, Kevin Costner, won a Golden Globe Award.

Kevin Costner, who plays ranch owner John Dutton on Yellowstone, won Best Performance By An Actor in a Television Series – Drama for his role in Yellowstone. But, unprecedented storms in California forced Costner to miss the event.

The actor took to social media prior to Tuesday’s award show to apologize to fans and explain his absence.

“I’m so sorry for everyone who might’ve been turning into watch the golden globes. Chris and I aren’t going to be able to be there. Yesterday, we had to pull the kids out of school in Santa Barbara. For the second time in 5 years, the freeways are flooded out…We couldn’t get back to the house with the freeways closed,” Costner said of the storms that have caused devastating flooding in California. “No one is sadder than us that we can’t be there at the Golden Globes.”

Many of Costner’s fellow Yellowstone cast members, including Cole Hauser, took to social media to congratulate the star on his incredible win.
