Kate Hudson, Kelsea Ballerini, And The Ladies Of Little Big Town Perform “Santa Baby”

Little Big Town’s Christmas at the Opry special aired on Dec. 16
It was announced a couple months ago that Christmas at the Opry would be returning to NBC after a successful first show in 2023. But, this year, it would be Little Big Town’s special!
Little Big Town’s Christmas at the Opry aired on Monday, December 16 and featured performances from Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, Sheryl Crow, Josh Groban, Orville Peck, Dan + Shay, Kirk Franklin, and Kate Hudson.
Kate Hudson joins the lineup
Kate Hudson might be an actress by trade, but she has been around music nearly her whole life! Her mom, the legendary Goldie Hawn, is known as an actress, singer, and dancer. She has also had relationships with famous musicians that may have introduced her to the world she is now dipping her toes in.
For six years, she was married to Chris Robinson, the lead singer of rock band The Black Crowes. They share a son, Ryder.
From 2010-2014, she dated Muse frontman Matt Bellamy and they share a son, Bing. Her current partner, Danny Fujikawa, is a musician and record label owner. They share a daughter, Rani.
Whether it be because she’s been around music for so long, or that she just had this passion and talent hidden away, Hudson released her debut album, Glorious, in May 2024 to great fanfare. It climbed all the way to number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.
After so many years of seeing her act on screen, and winning an Academy Award in 2000 for her role in Almost Famous, it’s hard to imagine Kate Hudson on stage singing, but she is incredibly talented!

Kate Hudson joins Little Big Town and Kelsea Ballerini for “Santa Baby”
Hudson performed multiple times during the NBC special. “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” was not her only performance!
She returned to the stage for a sultry performance of “Santa Baby” with Kimberly Schlapman, Karen Fairchild, and Kelsea Ballerini. Wearing matching Santa dresses, the women took turns singing solo before coming together for the chorus.
Not only did they all sound incredible, but the performance was so fun, also!
Fans online especially praised Hudson, because a lot of them didn’t know she couldn’t sing like that.
“Kate Hudson! Love her! Who knew she could sing like that!” one fan wrote on Facebook.
