On June 24, 2021, during the Kellyoke segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Clarkson was joined by the daughters and granddaughter of Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys. His daughters Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson, and Carnie’s 16-year-old daughter, Lola Bonfiglio joined with Clarkson in singing the Beach Boys 1966 classic, “God Only Knows.”

As Clarkson and the three women made it to the third verse of the song, another voice joined them. Legendary Beach Boy himself, Brian Wilson joined them all via live stream video to finish it out.

It marks the first time three generations of Wilsons have performed together.

Bonfiglio was especially excited about the opportunity and said after the performance that it was a “dream come true.” She posted to Instagram and captioned, “i am so so so excited to finally share that a dream i’ve had since i was very little has come true. not only did i get to sing with the absolutely incredible @kellyclarkson, but i was also able to share a really beautiful moment with my mom, aunt, and grandpa singing one of his most special songs God Only Knows. i am so grateful to have had this opportunity.”
