Kenny Rogers Georgia Home Hits the Market
It’s been four years since legendary singer and songwriter Kenny Rogers passed away at the age of 81, and now, his Georgia home is officially up for sale. According to The Wall Street Journal, Rogers purchased the property in 2019 to be closer to his medical team. The decision to put the home up for sale was made by his widow, Wanda Rogers, who has remarried and is ready to move on from the Georgia property.
“This home, sadly, was our last home with Kenny,” Wanda Rogers told WSJ. “To make the decision to move was a little bittersweet for me and the boys.”
About the Listing
The six-bedroom home is located in the Atlanta suburb of Sandy Springs and is situated in a cul-de-sac on just under an acre of land, according to its listing.
Inside, the home is as luxurious as you’d expect. Upon entering, you’re welcomed by a grand double-height foyer with marble floors. The nearly 6,000-square-foot property also has several custom updates made after Kenny Rogers purchased it, including the addition of an elevator to help him move more comfortably throughout the house.
Many rooms in the French-style mansion feature crystal chandeliers, gold accents, and marble finishes. One particularly special room downstairs is an oval-shaped office, which once housed Kenny Rogers’ memorabilia and awards from his legendary career.
The home also features a gourmet kitchen with an eat-in island, high-end stainless steel appliances, and a butler’s pantry with a wine fridge. There’s a game room with a kitchenette and seated bar, and outside, the private backyard offers a pool and spa with a waterfall. The property also has a three-car garage.
