Just a few days later, Wilson unveiled a brand new song, “Hang Tight Honey,” from her upcoming album. The new track blends country elements with hints of ’70s rock and explores the pressures of juggling her music career with her personal relationships.

For a very exciting performance, Lainey Wilson took the stage at this year’s ACM Awards to perform her brand new song for the very first time! Dressed in a striking red outfit from head to toe, a departure from her usual signature bell bottoms, Wilson looked absolutely incredible.

During a pre-show interview, Lainey Wilson disclosed,“I’m keeping the red thing going tonight because my performance is gonna be pretty fiery.”

A Performance to Remember

As a surprise, Wilson started the ACM Awards with a brief rendition of the Little Texas 1993 hit “God Blessed Texas” before launching into her new single.

She then delivered an incredible performance of “Hang Tight Honey” that had the entire audience on their feet. It was particularly special for those who got to witness her new song live for the first time.

Wilson not only delivered an unforgettable performance at this year’s ACM Awards, but her talent also shone brightly as she was nominated for multiple prestigious awards.

Her popular song, “Heart Like A Truck,” earned her a nomination for Song of the Year, while her collaboration on “Save Me” with Jelly Roll contended for Music Event of the Year. Additionally, she was in the running for Female Artist of the Year and, most impressively, Entertainer of the Year, underscoring her status as a powerhouse in country music.
