“Marshals” Gains A New Cast Member & A Former Star’s Role Expands

Marshals, the Yellowstone spin-off centered on Kayce Dutton, has been renewed for a second season. That season is slated to premiere on CBS on Sunday, October 4.
With production already underway, there have been some updates made to the cast list. On Wednesday (August 12), CBS announced that the series is gaining a new cast member.
Deadline confirmed that Marque Richardson has joined the show in a recurring role. You may be familiar with Richardson thanks to his performance as a series regular on the comedy series Unprisoned. He will play Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Burns on Marshals. That is all we know about his character as of press time.
Additionally, Deadline confirmed that a former Marshals cast member’s role will expand in Season 2. Morgan Lindholm, who portrays the Bullet ‘N Barrel bartender, Maddie, will play a larger part in the upcoming episodes.
Those who’ve seen Marshals know that there’s more to Maddie’s character than that. But we won’t spoil her backstory just in case you haven’t caught up on every episode in Season 1.
Prior to playing Maddie, Lindholm was known for various recurring roles in shows such as The Fosters and Leverage: Redemption.
Which Actors Are Returning For Season 2 Of Marshals?
Although an official cast list has not been released, Marshals has confirmed that Luke Grimes (Kayce), Ash Santos (Andrea), and Tatanka Means (Miles) are returning. Brecken Merrill (Tate), Mo Brings Plenty (Mo), and Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater) are expected to reprise their roles.
Marshals hasn’t confirmed if Logan Marshall-Green (Cal) or Arielle Kebbel (Belle) will return for Season 2. If you recall, their characters were left in the midst of a dangerous situation at the end of Season 1.
But the actors have both stated they will appear in Season 2. It simply remains unknown if they will survive past the opening episode.
“I am a part of season two, yes. We start filming [season two] with a pick up of that [finale] moment. My head is so deep into season two already,” Kebbel told The Hollywood Reporter in May.
Meanwhile, Marshall-Green said, “I can confirm [Cal] is alive, but not necessarily unscathed. I think I can confirm that for everybody in the damn show, because everybody’s going through it by the end of this thing.”
