Country music superstar Morgan Wallen has racked up yet another accolade

Morgan Wallen seems to be unstoppable. Despite recent challenges, he continues to dominate the charts and sell out arenas worldwide. As of this week, the Tennesee native has officially become the artist with the most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 chart this decade.

Wallen’s impressive 19 weeks at the top of the chart has broken the previous record of 18, which was held in a two-way tie by Taylor Swift and Roddy Ricch.

Two of Morgan Wallen’s hit songs contributed to the collective 19-week reign. “Last Night” spent a remarkable 16 weeks at #1, setting the record for the most weeks spent on top by a solo artist in the history of the chart. His collaboration with Post Malone, “I Had Some Help,” currently occupies the top spot, having taken up residence since its debut three weeks ago.

Morgan Wallen is no stranger to breaking records

Earlier this year, Morgan Wallen’s album, One Thing At A Time, became the longest-running #1 country album in Billboard 200 history.

The massive 36-track album was released on March 3, 2023, and occupied the top spot on the chart for an impressive 12 weeks straight following its debut. Since then, it has bounced between ranks but has never dipped below #6. As of March 16th, the album officially marked 19 non-consecutive weeks at #1 – the longest run ever by a country album.

The record was previously held by legendary country music artist Garth Brooks for over 30 years. His 1991 album Ropin’ The Wind spent 18 non-consecutive weeks at the top.
