In a tell-all podcast about her divorce, Bunnie Xo shared what her relationship with Jelly Roll’s daughter, Bailee, looks like right now.

Jelly Roll filed for divorce from his wife of nearly 10 years, Bunnie Xo, on May 18th. The news went public on June 15th, and Bunnie and Jelly both released their first statements about the split on June 18th.

Bunnie’s statement came in the form of a 54-minute episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast. She detailed the circumstances leading up to their divorce, shared information about their settlement, debunked some rumors, and more.

Bunnie made it clear that she and Jelly ended things on decent terms, calling him her “best friend forever.” But how are things between Jelly’s daughter, Bailee, and Bunnie right now?

Bunnie has helped Jelly raise now 18-year-old Bailee since she was young. Although Bunnie is not Bailee’s biological mother, she’s dealing with a lot of emotions right now because “the only woman she has had consistently in her life is being taken from her.”

It’s a weird transition that we’re trying to navigate,” Bunnie said.

Bunnie Xo Promises To Always Be There For Bailee

Bunnie said Bailee has been “mad” at both her and Jelly amid the divorce, but Bunnie completely understands, saying Bailee “deserves to feel that way.”

“…she’s going to have emotions. She’s going to unfollow me on f—— Instagram and then she’s going to text me back the next day and tell me to follow her back. That’s just how it is right now.”

Bunnie continued to say, “And I don’t care. That’s my baby. I love her. If she wants to be mad at me for f—— 2 years, I’ll deal with it. But when she’s ready to come back, I will always be here for her.”

Bunnie also warned her audience not to bully Bailee or pressure her into speaking about anything she doesn’t want to discuss:

I think as a whole everybody needs to realize that she is still a child even though she’s of ageso tread lightly with my little nugget,” Bunnie said.

Bailee Previously Released Her Own Statement About Bunnie Xo And Jelly Roll’s Divorce

Before Bunnie Xo sat down to record her podcast, she texted Bailee to ask if there was anything she wanted her to share. Bailee said her “big thing” is that people need to have more empathy for others, even if they’re public figures.

This echoes Bailee’s previous comments on TikTok after the divorce news initially broke. In her first post, she wrote:

I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter. It’s fkn crazy. Go on somewhere yall. Worry bout your house- not mine.”

Bailee shared a longer statement a little while later, which read:

Thank you for the kind messages, the words of support, and those of you who go out of your way to make me feel protected & seen. I love yall. I will never forget those of you that have shown me empathy when I’m seeing a lot of hate. Thank you. So much. And to everyone else, I hope humanity can evolve to a place where kindness comes first, I understand & respect opinions and that a public profile is a public profile, but that doesn’t have to mean we throw away our human decency. I love ALL of you.
