Jelly Roll Announces Extended Hiatus From Touring So He Can “Heal”
on Aug 03, 2026

Jelly Roll is officially done touring for the year…and for a while in general.
During his concert in Salt Lake City on July 28th, Jelly announced his intentions to take an extended hiatus from touring. He said:
“This has truly been a lifetime experience for me. In a couple of nights, I go to Colorado Springs and do my last show for a year or two.”
He added, “I’m fixing to take some time off and heal. I love y’all so much. Thank you for the opportunity…”
You can watch Jelly address his fans about his upcoming break in the video below.
@countryminute Jelly Roll shocked fans over the weekend by announcing that he is taking at least a year, maybe two off from the road. While speaking to fans during the final dates of his stadium towards Post Malone, Jelly Roll thanked fans for the opportunity of a lifetime to perform. He said he was taking an extended break from the road in order to “heal.” Jelly Roll has been on a nonstop run of shows and appearances since the release of his album Beautifully Broken in 2024. We’re wishing him a quick recovery and hope he finds peace. Did you see Jelly Roll this year? #countrymusic #jellyroll ♬ original sound – Country Minute

Jelly delivered his last show for the next year or two at Colorado Springs on July 30th. His website currently shows there are “no upcoming events” on his schedule.
Why Is Jelly Roll Taking A Break?
Beyond saying he wants to take some time away to “heal,” Jelly Roll did not provide a reason for his touring hiatus.
The past few years have been pretty eventful for Jelly. He served as the artist-in-residence on American Idol, was a judge on the Star Search reboot, headlined Stagecoach, met the Pope, was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, and made his voice acting debut, all while embarking on a co-headlining stadium tour with Post Malone on top of his solo Little Ass Shed Tour.
Additionally, Jelly Roll has been on a years-long fitness journey, resulting in a 200-pound weight loss.
Of course, fans have speculated that his decision to take a break may be connected to his recent divorce from Bunnie Xo. The couple had been married for nearly 10 years when Jelly filed for divorce in May. News of their split broke in June, and the divorce was finalized in July.
Beyond uploading a “divorce vlog” in which he barely touched on the topic, Jelly Roll has addressed the divorce only once. Speaking to his audience at a show in Satagoa Springs, New York, on June 18th, he said:
“That will be my best friend forever. This is the only time I will ever speak about it. Bunnie, I love you, baby. Thank you for those 10 years. They were incredible. Thank you for the next 10 years of friendship, and 20 beyond that.“
Bunnie had previously uploaded a podcast about their divorce, but it has since been deleted.
Although Jelly Roll is taking a hiatus from touring, it seems he isn’t stepping away from his career completely. He’s started releasing new music, beginning with his latest song, “Hands Up.”
Jelly filmed a music video for the track at San Quentin, which you can watch below.
