Morgane Stapleton Is An Extremely Successful Vocalist & Songwriter
After years in the country music industry, Morgane Stapleton won her first ACM Award on Thursday (May 16).
For those who’ve only come to know Morgane through her husband, Chris Stapleton, her extensive resume dates back to the early 2000s.

Morgane has served as a background vocalist on songs such as Carrie Underwood’s “Don’t Forget to Remember Me,” Trace Adkins’ “Ladies Love Country Boys,” and Trisha Yearwood’s “You Can’t Trust the Weatherman.”
That’s not even mentioning the many songs of Chris’ that Morgane has been included on, such as “Tennessee Whiskey,” “Traveller,” and “White Horse.”
Morgane also recorded the classic song “You Are My Sunshine” with Chris. The CMA nominated their performance for the Musical Event of the Year award in 2016.

Morgane is also an accomplished songwriter. She’s penned songs such as Alan Jackson’s “Talk Is Cheap,” Carrie Underwood’s “Don’t Forget to Remember Me,” and Reba McEntire’s “Ain’t Got Nothin’ on My Pain.”
She’s also co-written songs with Chris, including “The Fire” and “Nashville, TN.”
Morgane Stapleton Wins Her First ACM Award For Serving As A Producer On Husband Chris’ Album, Higher
Surprisingly, Morgane had never won an ACM Award before Thursday night (May 16), when she won her first trophy from the ACM.
She won the Album of the Year award for serving as a producer on Chris’ album, Higher. She, Chris, and longtime collaborator Dave Cobb co-produced the record.
Chris spoke briefly after accepting the award before stepping away to give Morgane her moment.
Morgane said, “I am so proud every day to get to work with the love of my life. It means so much to me to be recognized alongside of him. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world, thank y’all.”
Chris dedicated Higher to Morgane following the album’s release in November 2023.
